On PrizePicks Packs, three days to ship or the card is sold back
PrizePicks launched digital card packs nationwide on 21 October 2026. Its own terms give a buyer three days to ask for the physical card. After that, the card goes back to PrizePicks at a value PrizePicks sets.
In brief
PrizePicks launched PrizePicks Packs nationwide on 21 October 2026, in its app. Packs cost $1 to $2,500 across nine tiers, in basketball, football and Pokémon. Each pack holds one physical card, Cardlines reported. The Packs Terms of Service, effective the same day, describe a retail purchase of repacked cards. They say all purchases are final.
A pulled card sits in the buyer's Locker for at most three days. If the buyer has not asked for shipment by then, the terms treat the card as sold back at the buyback price. PrizePicks sets that price from unnamed third-party valuation services and its own data. The terms name no vault, custodian or grading company. They say PrizePicks holds the cards as custodian, not owner. Two dated readings frame the wider market. Consumer prices were 3.7% higher in September 2026 than a year earlier, BLS data show. The 10-year Treasury yield stood at 5.13% on 21 October 2026, US Treasury data show.
What it turns on
- An unshipped card goes back. Section 7.10 says a card not elected for shipment within three days is deemed sold back. A reminder goes out at least 24 hours before.
- The price is the platform's own. Fair market value is set mainly from third-party valuation services, none named. The help page says the offer is 100% of that value, fixed at the rip.
- A chargeback reaches the card. Section 9.2 says a charged-back deposit can reverse the purchases it paid for and cancel any buyback proceeds.
What we do about it
- 01Record the card at the pull. The card's identity, cert number if graded, and the value shown, with the time of the rip.
- 02Record how the value was set. The source or method behind the price, as disclosed, kept with the card's record.
- 03Record who holds it. Where the card sits between the pull and the shipment, and who signs for it at each hand-off.
- 04Match on arrival. The card delivered is checked against the record of the card pulled before anything else happens to it.
